Miguel is a mechanical engineer by training but an entrepreneur by heart. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in the Fall of 2014 and has since been working as a project engineer.
A firm supporter of Africapitalism, a term first coined by Nigerian entrepreneur Tony Elumelu, Miguel strongly believes that manufacturing and entrepreneurship are the ways Africa will create a strong middle class.
In this spirit, Miguel founded MGL Investments based in Burkina Faso, his home country. He is focused on investing in the West African, Ghanaian and Tanzanian stock markets for the moment. His long term goal will be to invest in African startups.
Miguel values the act of giving back and making a difference. During his free time, he volunteers in local charities. He loves photography.
